AVKANS GO Camera: Cannot Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

If your camera is set up to link to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device, but youre unable to access the live edit view, you can attempt the following troubleshooting methods to resolve the issue:

Force-quit and restart the app. On some occasions, simply closing the app completely and launching it again can refresh the Bluetooth connection between the app and the camera.

Toggle your mobile devices Bluetooth. The camera relies on Bluetooth to detect nearby devices and verify the connection and usage status with your mobile device. Interruptions to the Bluetooth signal can lead to communication failures between the two devices, and restarting Bluetooth has proven effective in fixing this problem before.

Restart the camera. Press and hold the power button to turn off the camera, then switch it back on. Once the camera finishes booting, open the app again.

Test the connection on a different network. This step can help determine whether the problem is specific to your current Wi-Fi network or occurs across multiple networks.

If the connection works on one network but not another, the root cause may lie in network configuration discrepancies, such as blocked firewall ports. For Enterprise networks, refer to the relevant guide for setup instructions.

If the problematic network requires you to accept its terms of service before use (e.g., public hotel Wi-Fi), it is likely a captive portal network, which is unfortunately not supported.

Perform a hard reset on the camera. Hold down the power button on the top of the camera for approximately 15 seconds, then power it on again. You can find device-specific hard reset instructions in the corresponding article.

If the issue persists after trying all the above steps, you can use the AVKANS Hotspot Mode as a temporary workaround to connect to your camera. That said, we recommend reaching out to our support team if you continue to encounter difficulties connecting to your local Wi-Fi network.
