How to Connect the AVKANS GO Camera to Game Changer for Live Streaming?

What is Game Changer?

Game Changer is a free all-in-one tool for youth sports, focusing on simplifying event management and connecting the field with audiences—covering live streaming, score statistics, team management, and content preservation, supporting HD live streams via mobile phones or external cameras like AVKANS GO, with professional data functions and team tools to meet diverse needs; the AVKANS GO 4K camera, featuring 4K ultra-HD quality, multi-protocol support, and flexible connections, perfectly adapts to Game Changer, with detailed steps below for smooth live streaming.

Pre-Preparations

1. Equipment and Software Preparation

Core Equipment: AVKANS GO camera, mobile phone (with the latest version of AVKANS Live APP and Game Changer Team Manager APP installed)

Auxiliary Accessories: Qualified Micro SD card (non-mandatory), tripod/stand, power bank

Network Requirements: Stable Wi-Fi network or mobile cellular data

Permission Authorization: Ensure the mobile phone has granted camera, microphone, and network access permissions to the AVKANS Live APP and Game Changer APP

2. Basic Camera Settings

Install Micro SD Card (non-mandatory): Insert the Micro SD card into the SD card slot on the side of the camera for local backup recording while live streaming to avoid content loss due to network interruption.

Device Power Supply: Connect the camera to a power bank or fully charge it (can support continuous live streaming at 1080P/30 resolution for 6 hours when fully charged).

Turn on the Camera: Press and hold the power button on the top of the camera for 3 seconds. When you hear the "do re mi" sound and the white breathing light on the front lights up, it indicates successful startup.

Connecting the AVKANS GO Camera to the Mobile Phone

First, complete the connection between the camera and the mobile phone via the AVKANS Live APP to prepare for subsequent docking with Game Changer:

Turn on the mobile phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and launch the AVKANS Live APP.

Select the connection method (Wi-Fi connection is recommended first for stronger stability):

Wi-Fi Connection:

Click "Connect via Wi-Fi", select the target network from the Wi-Fi list, enter the Wi-Fi password, and after successful connection, the APP will automatically enter the shooting preview interface.

Cellular Data Connection (for use without Wi-Fi):

Click "Connect via device" → "Add Device", and connect to the built-in hotspot of the AVKANS GO camera (the hotspot name is in the format "AVKANS1_XXXX").

After successful connection, the mobile phone will transmit the live streaming signal through its own cellular data and automatically enter the shooting preview interface (note: the live streaming quality may be affected by network fluctuations in this mode).

After successful connection, the camera screen will be displayed on the APP's shooting preview interface. You can first test whether the screen clarity and microphone sound reception are normal.

Docking with the Game Changer Platform and Starting Live Streaming

1. Create a Live Event in the Game Changer APP

Open the Game Changer Team Manager APP, log in to your account, and select the team you want to live stream for.

Enter the "Schedule" section, find the corresponding event, and click to enter the event details page.

Click the "Record Video" button, select the video source, which can be the current mobile device or an external camera.

Click the "External Camera" option to switch to the external camera live streaming mode.Set the live audience: Select "Confirmed members only" (coaches, players, parents) or "Anyone with the link can watch". After completion, do not click "Start Live Streaming" for the time being. After completing the video settings, click the "Continue" button to enter the "External Camera" interface.

2. Obtain Game Changer Live Streaming RTMP Information

On the Game Changer APP's external camera settings page, click "Other Camera" to find the "Stream URL" and "Stream Key" options, and click "Copy" respectively. After copying, keep the Game Changer APP running in the background and do not close it.

3. Configure RTMP Streaming in the AVKANS Live APP

Option 1

First, click the Live button to enter the live streaming settings interface, where you can log in to your account on the GameChanger APP.

After logging into your GameChanger account, first select or create a live event according to your needs, then you can freely configure the streaming resolution and bitrate. Once all parameters are set up, click Go Live to officially start your live stream!

It’s important to note that the live stream may pause if you switch to another app. Please keep the AVKANS Live app open and visible on your screen, or use the camera’s RTMP stream feature. For iPad users, you can also utilize new functions like Stage Manager if available to ensure a stable live stream.

Option 2

Return to the AVKANS Live APP's shooting preview interface and click the "Camera Settings" icon (gear-shaped) at the bottom

In the settings list, select "Camera RTMP Streaming Settings" and fill in the streaming information:

Server URL: Paste the "Stream URL" copied from Game Changer.

Streaming Key: Paste the "Stream Key" copied from Game Changer.

Unlike the previous method, with the settings here, the video feed will be directly pushed to the server from the camera without going through any software. Closing the App will not affect the live stream — as long as the camera is powered on and connected to the internet, the live broadcast will continue uninterrupted.

4. Start Live Streaming and Sync to Game Changer

In the AVKANS Live APP, after confirming that the screen and sound reception are normal, click the "Go Live" button at the bottom to start RTMP streaming.

After the streaming starts, the indicator light on the front of the camera will turn solid red (indicating live streaming in progress).

Return to the Game Changer APP. After 30-45 seconds, the live streaming screen will be synced to the platform, and both you and the audience can watch the real-time live streaming screen in the APP.

If you want to save the current live streaming content, you can enable local recording: Click the "Record" button in the AVKANS Live APP or double-click the camera's power button to start local recording on the SD card (the yellow light on the front of the camera flashes during recording), achieving dual protection of "live streaming + local backup".

Operations and Precautions During Live Streaming

1. Screen and Parameter Adjustment

Fix the Camera: Install the AVKANS GO on a tripod and place it 5-10 feet high on the first base side of the venue to ensure no line of sight obstruction and complete capture of the field screen.

Focal Length Adjustment: On the AVKANS Live APP's preview interface, drag the "zoom slider" to adjust the focal length, or enable "Auto Focus" in the camera settings to ensure the subject is clear.

Image Quality Settings: The default live streaming resolution is 1080P/30 (compatible with the best playback effect of Game Changer). You can adjust the resolution in the "Recording Settings" of the AVKANS Live APP (supports up to 4K/30, but need to confirm whether the network bandwidth is sufficient).

Audio Optimization: In the "Audio Settings" of the AVKANS Live APP, adjust the microphone volume and enable "AI Noise Reduction" (it is recommended to set it to "Medium Noise Reduction") to reduce venue environmental noise.

2. Key Precautions

Network Stability: Maintain a stable Wi-Fi/cellular data connection throughout the process. Avoid switching networks or moving away from the router. If stuttering occurs, switch to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or cellular data in the APP.

Do Not Close Core APPs: When using Wi-Fi connection, you can switch APPs in the mobile phone background; if using AVKANS hotspot + cellular data, you need to keep the AVKANS Live APP running in the foreground, as closing it will cause the live streaming to be interrupted.

Battery Life: For long-time live streaming, be sure to connect a power bank. It is normal for the bottom of the camera to heat up, so no need to worry.

Live Streaming Status Check: Judge the status through the camera indicator light — solid red = live streaming in progress, yellow flashing = local recording in progress, green solid = connected to the APP.

Live Streaming Termination Process

First, click the "Stop Live Streaming" button in the AVKANS Live APP. After the indicator light changes from red to green, confirm that the streaming has stopped.

(If local recording is enabled) Double-click the camera's power button to stop SD card recording, or click "Stop Recording" in the APP.

Return to the Game Changer APP and click the "End Live Streaming" button to complete the platform live streaming conclusion (if not ended manually, the platform may automatically end the live streaming after the streaming is interrupted).

Turn off the Camera: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. When you hear the "mi re do" sound and the white light flashes three times, it indicates successful shutdown. Unplug the power supply or power bank.

Export Local Materials (optional): Remove the Micro SD card, insert it into a computer or mobile phone, and export the recorded video files for subsequent editing and review.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

The camera cannot connect to the AVKANS Live APP:

Check if the mobile phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on, and if the APP is the latest version.

Restart the camera or APP (press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to shut down and then turn on again), and search for the device again.

Game Changer cannot sync the live streaming screen:

Verify that the RTMP URL and Stream Key are pasted correctly (note: no extra spaces).

Check if the network is smooth. You can test the streaming speed in the AVKANS Live APP. If it is lower than 2Mbps, switch the network.

Live streaming screen stutters/audio and video are out of sync:

Reduce the live streaming resolution (e.g., from 4K to 1080P) to reduce bandwidth usage.

Close other APPs in the mobile phone background that occupy network resources to ensure the live streaming monopolizes network resources.

If you encounter problems that cannot be solved by the above methods, you can contact AVKANS official support (email: avkans.pro@gmail.com, info@avkans.com) or refer to the Game Changer platform help center for further assistance.
