AVKANS LV20N Firmware Upgrade Tutorial

Note: Connect the camera to the router and ensure the camera and computer are connected to the same Local Area Network (LAN).

I. Option 1: Upgrade from the Software End

Step 1: Access the AVKANS Official Website

Open a web browser on your computer, type avkans.com in the address bar to enter the AVKANS official website. On the homepage or relevant pages of the official website, scroll down the page with your mouse to find the section labeled "Download".

Step 2: Download the Software

In the "Download" section, browse and accurately locate the software option labeled "LV20N". Click the download link corresponding to "LV20N" and wait for the software installation package to finish downloading.

Step 3: Connect the Device to the Network and Search

Connect the AVKANS camera to the current network via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly, ensuring it is on the same LAN as the computer. Open the previously installed "CameraCMS", click the "Start Search" function to begin searching for the network-connected camera. In the search results, find the target camera and click the "Add to Client" option to add it to the client management list.

Step 4: Access Remote Configuration and Start the Upgrade

In the client device list, find the added camera and click its corresponding "Remote Configuration" option. Locate the "Upgrade" button; after clicking it, the system will automatically read the previously downloaded LV20N upgrade package and start the upgrade process. When "Upgrade Firmware complete" appears below, it indicates that the upgrade is finished, and the camera will restart briefly at this time.

Step 5: Screen Color Restoration

After the upgrade is completed, click "Main View" in the client or device interface to return to the real-time screen interface of the device. If the screen is small, click the "Enlarge" icon in the interface to expand the screen display, making it easier to observe the color status.

Step 6: Restore Default Settings via the Menu

Press the "Menu" key. In the menu that pops up on the screen, find the "System" option. Select "System" and confirm to enter; in the system interface, find and click the "Defaults" option. The system will prompt "Are you sure to restore factory defaults?" Select "Confirm", and the device will restart and restore to default settings. After the restart, the screen color will return to normal.

II. Option 2: Upgrade from the Camera Web Interface

Step 1: Query the Camera IP Address

Press the "Menu" key on the remote control to enter the "System" menu, find and select the "Network" option. In the "Network" interface, you can view the current IP address of the camera (e.g., "192.168.1.116", which will be used for subsequent login).

Step 2: Log In via IP and Upgrade

In a computer browser, enter the camera IP address queried in Step 1 and press the Enter key to enter the login interface. Enter the default account and password: username "admin", password "admin123", then click "Login".
After logging in, find the "System Config" option. Enter it and select "Firmware Update", then locate the "Upgrade" button. Click it, and the system will automatically read the previously downloaded LV20N upgrade package and start the upgrade process.
After the update is completed, the device will restart automatically. After the restart, press the "Menu" key on the remote control.
